How Much Rain Did We Have?

This year we have a LOT of rain. Usually it doesn't rain this much at this season. At my school, we even had a huge puddle filled with water.

There was almost a flood yesterday! I wanted to step in all the little puddles. The water was overflowing the sidewalk! I asked my mom if I could have rain boots. (Since I didn't have any at that time.) She said I could but I would have to get them later. It was raining so often that I didn't need to water the plants that we grew outside in the garden.

We always had one or two umbrellas in the car in case it rained. After school, my mom would also bring an umbrella for me and her if it was raining or it was about to rain. I love to do all sorts of things with it.

If it was raining when going to school, my mom would drive me early because I don't like to get wet in the early morning. She would also give me my raincoat in case I wanted it in or after school.

One day after school, I ran and saw two ducks in the little rain puddle. I crept closer and closer but when the ducks got too scared, they flew away. They were just common ducks but it was fun to see them so close at school.

The rain has been very active lately and is also affecting things inside or outside my school for me. It is also fun though because I can jump in puddles or look at the giant puddles too. I like the rain especially when it rained a lot like this year.
